Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush just had a super stylish One Tree Hill reunion

But you can't beat the classics when you're in the mood for a comfort watch, and explains why we've seen every episode of Friends over 100 times.

The same is true for fashion. We're super excited to try out all the new spring summer fashion trends, but the Y2K aesthetic continues to reign supreme, reimaging key looks from the '00s twenty years later.

Yep, we gladly welcome a dose of nostalgia. Especially in a world where we're constantly inundated with the new, from fast fashion high street stores dropping collections every week to yet another notification reminding you to download the latest iPhone updated operating system.

And our latest nostalgia hit combined all our favourite things when Hilarie Burton Morgan and Sophia Bush had a super stylish mini One Tree Hill reunion.

Playing Peyton Sawyer and Brooke Davis respectively on the teen show that originally aired from 2003-2012, the characters provided ultimate BFF goals. And in a case of art imitating life, Hilarie and Sophia are just as close IRL. As proved by the pics of them together attending Netflix's Girls5eva Season 3 premiere in New York last night [Thursday 7 March].

But what immediately caught our attention – ya know, after we finished gushing about the throwback – was Hilarie and Sophia's 'fits, because they both majorly channelled their respective characters for the occasion. Hilarie's forest green satin slip dress paired with slouchy black leather knee-high boots featuring chain detailing was serving grown-up Peyton vibes. Especially with her accessories that included a handbag adorned with a picture of Barbara Streisand and stacks of jewellery.

Meanwhile, Sophia's on-trend black leather suit and barely-there black heeled sandals could easily be straight out of Brooke's wardrobe. We can just picture the fashion designer wearing the ensemble for a Clothes Over Bros board meeting.

In the same vein as the recent Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants reunion or Girls Aloud reforming, we are fully obsessed. P. Sawyer and B. Davis forever.
