Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari are getting a divorce after 10 years together, and it’s been an extremely messy process. Like, we’re talking cheating rumors, custody disputes, arguments over their living situation—it’s a whole thing.
The couple has apparently been having issues for a while now, and TMZ just unearthed an awk video from an event back in February when Jay and Kristin were doing a meet and greet with fans in Chicago.
In the video, a newly engaged fan asks for advice on getting married, and Kristin blurts out “Don’t do it” while Jay is sitting right next to her. To be fair, he laughs along with the crowd—but the vibes are pretty awk. Especially considering that just a few months after this video was filmed, Kristin and Jay announced their divorce.

As a reminder, Kristin cited “marital misconduct” and “irreconcilable differences” as the reasons for her and Jay’s split, alleging that Jay “is guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper.” She also claimed that “any misconduct alleged or implied against her in the complaint for divorce was in response to and/or as a result of misconduct on behalf of the Husband.”
The pair recently worked out their custody dispute, with a source telling E! News that “Jay will allow Kristin to purchase the home she has been looking at” and “in exchange for that, they are agreeing to split the time with their children, one week on and one week off.”
