Highlights From The Araxa World Cup XCO

It was another spectacular weekend of racing in Brazil for the cross-country World Cup.

In the women’s race, a familiar cast of characters battled on the hot dusty track. Watch the highlights of the race below.

Hailey Batten, Jenny Risveds, and Savilia Blunk, who all stood on the podium last weekend, were in the lead group on the final lap.

After attacking at the beginning of the lap, Batten dropped Risveds on the steep technical climb and rode solo to her first Elite World Cup victory, just a day after winning the short track.

The Men’s Racing was not lacking in action either.

On the men’s side, Viktor Koretzky was leading on the final lap when an ill-timed drivetrain issue required him to get off the bike to reset his chain. Koretzky was passed by the lead group but managed to sort himself out and catch back up.

The race culminated in a bunch sprint where Dane Simon Andreasson edged out Koretzky to take his second elite victory.
