As a pet owner, the best part of my day is coming home to my dogs. They have the sweetest reactions whenever someone they love comes home, and it always warms my heart to see other pet owners getting a similar kind of welcome home. No matter what species of pet they have!

That's why I couldn't get enough of cow owner Chloe Grayling's TikTok video of her reuniting with her Highland cow duo after three weeks apart. She was off on her Italian honeymoon, but her pet cows missed her so much! Their sweet reaction to seeing her is simply priceless--I can feel their joy!

OMG--this is amazing! Both cows came running when they saw her, but they were also incredibly gentle and sweet with her up close. It's the best of both worlds with these gentle giants!

"Highlands are absolute characters!" agreed commenter @darkwoodfantasycreatures. "Extremely intelligent too! They recognize you and must’ve been missing you so badly! You’re part of their herd!" Aww, that's so true. Dogs and cats aren't the only pet species that get attached to their loved ones, and this is a fantastic example. Farm animals can be just as friendly as domesticated pets!

In fact, highland cattle are the perfect example! These huge animals may have large horns, but they are famous for being incredibly docile and friendly (and adorable). These animals are popular to visit in the Scottish highlands, and they rarely mind the watchful eyes. When they see someone they recognize, though--their true personalities shine!

This cow owner, @lovechloejane, makes owning a large pet look so easy, but it takes a lot of time, space, and money to care for farm animals like highland cows. These animals are best kept in herds (even small herds like this duo), so you'll be caring for multiple animals, too. For those who have the resources and desire to help these animals thrive, they can be wonderful farm animal companions!
