HGTV Star Mina Starsiak's Friday Night Taco Off With Her Husband Is *Relationship Goals*

"So you know how some people have like an extra stomach for dessert? I have an extra stomach for burritos and tacos."

HGTV star Mina Starsiak Hawk made me feel heard when she dropped that knowledge bomb on an anything but quiet Friday night at home with her husband, Steve Hawk.

According to Mina, Steve had been trying to have a "taco off" ever since the holidays began. After a week of eating the same foods over and over again, this Mexican-American didn't blame him.

The happy couple picked up at least 18 tacos from Taco Bell, and the best post-Christmas tradition ever was born. In fairness to my abuela, we always turn our leftover turkey into homemade Mexican food, but this back-up option appears to be less time-intensive.

To get in the zone for the big competition, the couple pre-gamed with red wine as they listened to John Denver music. Adorable little Jack Richard Hawk, who is not even two years old yet, danced in the background with the couple's dog as he held on tightly to a packet of Taco Bell's signature hot sauce. Clearly, this boy destined for greatness.

As the game commenced, Steve pledged to eat ten soft tacos in six minutes, while Mina pledged to eat six in the same time frame. Alexa helped the couple set a timer, and luckily for us, Mina captured the entire contest on her Instagram Story. In the end, the pair each ate nine tacos (though technically not in the allotted amount of time).

"If anybody is not impressed with Mina eating nine tacos, check yourself," Steve proclaimed as he looked into the camera.

Steve later asked Mina if she wanted in on a Chick-fil-A off, and her response was magical.

"I'm not interested," she replied. "If there's not burritos and tacos, I'm not interested."

At the close of their night, Mina could be seen snuggling with both her baby boy and her dog on the couch.

"I hope your Friday night is just as exciting as ours," she said.

No, Mina. My Friday night was definitely not as exciting as yours. I was sitting on my couch alone wrapped in that viral burrito blanket without actual burritos.
