With everything that Christina Anstead has going on—from her two hit HGTV shows (Flip or Flop and Christina on The Coast), to her new husband, new family, and a baby on the way—it's easy to wonder just how she stays so upbeat and healthy all the time. Apparently, we're not the only ones that have a few questions—and Christina finally spilled some of her secrets during an episode of Christina on The Coast: Unfiltered.

Christina's Go-To Workouts:

As for one of her favorite workouts? She loves kickboxing, but the designer also heads to Thousands Steps Beach in Laguna Beach, which literally has a thousand steps, and works out by climbing them multiple times (sometimes even 10!). She's also gotten into OrangeTheory classes—which combine cardio and strength training—and yoga.

During one of her workouts in Laguna Beach, Christina actually met her good friend and nutritionist, Cara Clark. The duo is currently writing a health and wellness book, which has a working title of The Wellness Remodel.

"I decided that it'd be a great idea for us to write a book together, because that's the No. 1 question I always get asked," Christina said during an online episode of Christina on The Coast: Unfiltered. "What do you eat in a day? What do you do to workout?"

Cara has taught Christina a few nutrition tricks that we'll find in the upcoming book—especially her "five color" rule. Basically, what that means is if your meal has five different colors in it, it should be pretty healthy to eat. (We're talking whole, unprocessed foods—so a Tie-Dye Frappuccino doesn't count.)

What Christina Typically Eats in a Day:

Christina has also recently revealed exactly what kind of foods she eats in a day—including an oat-and-chia-seed combo for breakfast, plenty of juice (especially Goddess of Greens juice), granola bars, peanut butter and rice cakes as a snack, a smoothie for lunch, and usually a salad made up of lean meat, veggies, and grains for dinner. She's also a big fan of lean chilis and, if she's craving sweets, she'll have black bean brownies.

We're hoping Christina will give us the recipes for some of her favorite meals in her new book, and maybe even add in a modified version of her favorite thousand steps workout—a very modified version, of course.
