Does Kellogg's even care about us?

It’s always disappointing when one of your favorite food brands discontinues a product or a go-to flavor. Snackers were recently disappointed when Pringles got rid of the jalapeño flavor and breakfast cereal lovers mourned when Cheerios pulled its maple flavor.

Just last week, Pop-Tarts fans lamented the brand eliminating the “perfect” frosted peach cobbler. There was no announcement about the discontinuation. Pop-Tarts confirmed on Twitter that the flavor—that was delicious served warm with a scoop of ice cream on top—was no more when a user tagged the brand asking if the toaster pastries were still on store shelves. Pop-Tarts replied, “Those are gone, but we have lots of other flavors to fill the void,” with a link to its website page with all its current flavors.

The tweet got some attention, and people chimed in with their deepest feelings about toaster pastries. @Teresalucas2014 put it all out there when she commented, “Pop-Tarts you have broken my heart those were my favorite. In fact they were the only ones I ever ate.”

Other Twitter users piped in with the Pop-Tarts flavors that they’re unhappy don’t exist anymore.

The Pop-Tart Flavors That Should Be Back on Store Shelves

Twitter user @NJD_AK popped into the thread to ask for the former chocolate chip, mint-flavored Pop-Tarts to come back, which is understandable. Chocolate and mint are a classic combination.

Pop-Tarts lover @bonewicz_eric went pretty far to get his hands on his discontinued favorite, Fruit Loops. “I literally had to order some online and pay like $30 for two boxes,” he wrote. “I don’t see them anywhere and they are my favorite pop tart ever! Please don’t tell me you stopped.”

Milk Chocolate Pop-Tarts are what @endofduhday would like back and @Humpday_addams wants the strawberry milkshake flavor back.

Going to social media to ask the brand about discontinued flavors often gets a response. Unfortunately, it’s a similar response to the one that @waffletower received: yes, the flavor is gone, but there are other flavors...That’s the response Pop-Tarts gave @Lex_ShadyMania to a request about the long-lost French toast flavor and @huskerguy26 received about the red velvet.

Instagram Users Want Their Fave Pop-Tarts Back, Too

On a joke post from the Kellogg's off-shoot about Cherry Tomato Pop-Tarts (because suddenly it’s tomato girl summer—everyone’s wearing tomato red), followers chimed in on the real flavors they want back.

Peanut butter is the flavor @jts.wrld says he’s asked Pop-Tarts to bring back 20 times. @Jeniburns81 agrees. “Come one poptart get it together !! Peanut butter bring it back,” she demanded. And @elliott._.harding20 had a demand, too: “BRING THE COOKIE DOUGH ONES BACK.”

“I’m STILL waiting for the revival of the unfrosted cherry pop tart!” said @spatter61, and “I want the blue raspberry back,” requested @dianaer_89.

The fans of discontinued toaster pastry flavors should take heart in the fact that sometimes, flavors do return. Although red velvet is not available now, it was phased out once before and brought back for a while. Maybe it will come back again. And maybe some of these other fan-favorite Pop-Tarts will return someday, too. We need to try the Strawberry Milkshake.
