Theme parks across the nation are slowly starting to reopen to the public with updated park policies to ensure safety for all guests. Hersheypark officially reopened this past weekend, at which time the park debuted a new Chocolatetown and chocolate-themed rollercoaster.

The all-new Chocolatetown is a "reimagined arrival experience" that guests will partake in once they get to the park. There are brand new shopping and check-in features, as well as the park's first-ever Starbucks. According to the Hersheypark website, in 2021, Chocolatetown will continue expanding to include a full-service restaurant, bar, and patio, an ice cream parlor, and a confectionary kitchen.

Chocolatetown is also home to the new chocolate-themed rollercoaster, Candymonium. This ride is Hersheypark's tallest and fastest, measuring in at a 210-foot ascent and getting up to 76 miles per hour. Each car of the coaster is based on a fan-favorite candy, either Reese's, Kisses, or Twizzlers.

While the park is officially reopened, there are some changes to how things are being run. Guests above the age of two are required to wear masks, and those with health reasons unable to wear masks are asked to wear face coverings of some sort.

Temperature checks will be taken upon entry, and social distancing is expected throughout the park, including on rides where employees will separate riders from one another. Hersheypark will continue to update their site with all of the safety measures they are putting into place to give guests the most fun—and safest—experience possible.
