Heritage Village reopening for the season in Sturgeon Bay with activity-filled event

STURGEON BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – For those in northeast Wisconsin who are looking for something fun to do this weekend, the opening day for Heritage Village in Sturgeon Bay is May 18.

The doors of Heritage Village are reopening for the public to come and explore all the historical buildings they have to offer.

Entertainment, food trucks, music, games, and an old-fashioned bake sale will all be available at Saturday’s celebration.

“All of our buildings will be open and ready,” said Door County Historical Society Executive Director Amy Frank. “We will have some live music, outdoor games that families can play, and our blacksmith will be here doing demonstrations. Just a whole lot of activity to welcome the new season.”

The event at Heritage Village begins May 18 at 10 a.m. and will go until 3 p.m. The event is free but the Door County Historical Society will be accepting donations.
