The Amazing Race 34 has been all about little breathing room, between the lack of non-elimination legs and a highly competitive field. And that was reflected in the season's final leg, as the three remaining teams were neck-and-neck throughout their day in Nashville. But it was a musical-themed memory task that ultimately clinched the million-dollar prize for one team.

Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss - Reality romance

While Derek and Claire were unable to find victory on reality television as individuals, their time on The Amazing Race proved teamwork made the dream work. Their strategic thinking through the race got them into the final leg as one of the frontrunners. And once they got into first place at the Roadblock, it's a position they never gave up, as Derek's musical skills combined with Claire's memory easily earned them a first-place finish.

Emily Bushnell and Molly Sinert - Long-lost twins

Emily and Molly came onto the race with one of the wildest stories the show has ever had, twins who were separated at birth and had only met a year ago. And so, through the highs and the lows, it had been a race of opportunities to find out about each other. Unfortunately, those highs and lows came out in the final leg. Despite getting off to a hot lead, some navigational difficulties quickly took them out of the running for the win.

Luis Colon and Michelle Burgos - Married

The married couple were often the life of the party this season, bringing energy and positivity no matter what position they were in. And that attitude paid dividends, giving them the highest number of first-place finishes entering the finale. Unfortunately, a trip to Music City was not ideal for two non-musicians. But despite losing out on the win, the two crossed the finish line with beaming smiles and even more love in their hearts.
