FAIR WARNING: There are Bachelorette finale spoilers ahead. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Another Bachelorette season, another opportunity to be reminded that the series will *always* manage to keep us on our toes. The latest 🤯🤯🤯 news? That Rachel Recchia has broken things off with her winner Tino Franco after they got engaged at the end of the season. The update is courtesy of goss king Reality Steve, who reported the duo came to the decision after a Ross and Rachel–esque break situation left them in a weird limbo. In-ter-est-ing!

The news is a sad shock to everyone who had hoped the pilot would find love after enduring Clayton Echard’s truly dumpster fire Bachelor season earlier this year, lol. But enough about reliving that traumatic episode! Here’s what we know about Rachel and Tino’s ’ship as it stands:

Tino *did* propose to Rachel during the Bachelorette season finale

’Kay, so we know the general contractor proposed to Rachel after receiving her final rose, according to Reality Steve. And, I mean, we could definitely see it coming since Tino got Rachel’s first impression rose and was pretty much a front-runner the whole season.

However!! Their whirlwind romance wound up being short-lived because they’ve since split, and things apparently went downhill pretty fast after that Neil Lane 💍 was presented.

Why did Rachel and Tino break up? A number of reasons, apparently

Reality Steve once again hit us with a heavy dose of reality on his September 7 podcast and revealed the duo split—seemingly for good. “Rachel broke up with Tino, and they are no longer engaged,” Steve began. “They’re broken up, and there won’t be any sort of reconciliation at the ‘ATFR’ from everything I’ve heard. It’s over.” Oof!

Steve also added that Rachel reportedly told Tino after the finale in Mexico that when she made the move to Los Angeles from her current residence in Florida, she was set on giving the engagement ring back to ABC to just “date.” FWIW, this is *especially* interesting news because her reasoning for not letting Aven advance in the series was because he wanted to slow down the engagement timeline. My mood right about now:

On his September 15 podcast, Reality Steve further underscored that Rachel’s decision to pump the breaks after a whirlwind experience was “not what Tino wanted.” He added that after the whole give-the-ring-back episode, “There was a lull in the relationship, they’d stopped talking or communication was poor, and I was hearing something along the lines of a Ross/Rachel from Friends kinda deal.” Their relationship ultimately suffered after being in this limbo and “During a night out, Tino kissed another girl. There wasn’t sex, and it wasn’t an ongoing thing.”

Ultimately, Reality Steve said Tino told Rachel about the kiss, and that’s when she decided to end things. “My guess based on what I heard is that if Rachel would’ve given it another chance at the time, Tino would want that, but he understood why Rachel made the decision she did. He broke her trust with his actions when he should’ve told her immediately. Not to mention he shouldn’t have cheated in the first place,” Steve concluded. Mind = blown.

Tino’s family may have also been involved in the decision

So this news is a tad murkier but not not believable considering things seemed rocky after Rachel and Tino’s hometown date, where it was clear that the general contractor’s parents didn’t co’sign the couple’s Bachelorette journey.

“I just have a hard time believing that what you can do on a whirlwind fairy tale trip is really going to prepare you for marriage,” Tino’s father, Joe, said during their hometown date, per Us Weekly. To make matters worse, Showbiz Cheatsheet reported that Tino’s mom apparently told Rachel “this is not real” in reference to their ’ship. Oh, and there’s also the, erm, interesting, Facebook status Joe posted in which he said he’s “so glad” the show is almost over. The theme here is clearly ~tension~, people!

There was also a bottle incident?

We love a plot twist! Okay, so first things first: Several of the season 19 contestants were seen partying at the Hampton Social club in Nashville over the weekend. While there, Alec Garza (who was eliminated during his third week on the show) shared an Instagram Story that drummed up a lil controversy. In several clips, he seems to be joined by Tyler Norris, Aven Jones, Jordan Vandergriff, Nate Mitchell, Mario Vassall, and other former season 19 costars...along with an LED sign that reads “F*ck Tino,” per Us Weekly. Since then, the Instagram account @BachelorRabbitHole shared a DM conversation with Alec, who wrote, “It ain’t that deep. Someone bought us that bottle and put that as a joke.” Noted!

Rachel and Tino will reportedly sit down together during the “After the Final Rose” ceremony to spill serious 🍵

A truly spicy preview from the show’s concluding episodes features Rachel talking to someone (who *definitely* seems to be Tino) during a Happy Couple visit. “I want an answer for why you did what you did,” she says. Earlier in the clip, she also mentions one of the guys told her something that was “shattering everything that you promised me.”

Gabby Windey also had some choice words in the vid that left me feeling all ?!?!?!??!?!?! “I think you should definitely kick him in the [expletive]....You don’t deserve this.” Honestly, no clue what she’s talking about, but I’m instantly on the girls’ team here, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Make sure to tune in for tomorrow night's finale to get your Bachelorette fix and (maybe?!) get the answers to all the outstanding Qs.
