The Thing About Pam took true-crime fans by storm in the form of a podcast in 2021. People were fixed on the murder of Betsy Faria, and the bizarre story of her friend Pam Hupp that followed soon after.

Now, folks are getting a dramatic retelling, with Renee Zellweger portraying Pam on NBC's The Thing About Pam limited series. On social media, fans are praising Renee for her incredible transformation, as well as Josh Duhamel, who plays attorney Joel Schwartz. But there's someone else they also keep calling out: the narrator.

Who is the narrator of a Thing About Pam?

If you've been watching the show, which airs Tuesdays nights at 10 p.m., you know that along with the acting, the narration is spot on. But that's not surprising. The show is narrated by the legendary Keith Morrison, who is known for being the voice of many true-crime series. Keith was the one to bring the horrific story of Betsy's murder to viewers back in 2019 as a special on Dateline. He then also hosted the podcast.

People who are familiar with his voice — and those who aren't — all have praised Keith for his contribution to the show. "Seriously, @dateline_keith as the narrator for The Thing About Pam is perfect," one person said. "The Thing About Pam is soooo good. Having Keith Morrison as the narrator is simply [perfect], said another. " Starting The Thing About Pam. Having the Dateline man as a narrator is a nice touch," someone else wrote.

And although his voice is iconic to many true-crime fans, he doesn't seem to think there's anything particularly special about it. "I just talk funny," Keith said in an interview with USA Today.
