Recently, Megan Fox, Miranda Lambert and Doja Cat have all become the focus of public backlash, each for different reasons. Fox caused a stir when she shared a GoFundMe link to help her friend’s father, who is battling cancer, and many of her followers criticized her for not “simply donating to it” herself and calling it a day.

Lambert made waves when she confronted a group of concertgoers for seemingly being more interested in taking a selfie than enjoying her live Las Vegas performance.

Doja Cat, on the other hand, sparked controversy when she admonished some loyal fans after they expressed concern about her alleged relationship with J. Cyrus, who was accused of sexual misconduct and grooming by other fans. Consequently, she lost a significant amount of followers in a single week.

We’ll break it all down, starting with the Fox GoFundMe link drama:

Megan Fox Is Under Hot Water With Fans After Sharing A GoFundMe Link on Instagram

In the past week, Fox sparked headlines by addressing allegations of, as she put it, "being miserly or lacking generosity." The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star recently shared a GoFundMe page set up by her friend Brittney Boyce, to help Boyce’s ailing father. Fox encouraged her followers to donate to it.

Then, backlash came from fans on Twitter and Reddit, who noticed that she hadn’t contributed to the GoFundMe donations, herself.

Fox posted an impassioned response to her critics in an Instagram story post soon after. "Hey weirdos," Fox wrote. "Do any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe [Boyce] doesn’t want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?"

Boyce, Fox stressed, asked the Jennifer's Body actress to share a link to "Michael’s Medical Expenses" fundraiser, created to assist Boyce’s father in covering medical costs after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

"I just obliged her request," Fox continued in her message to fans, days after sharing the GoFundMe link. "Anything she needs from me personally she will ask and [I] will do it privately. One thing you’re not going to accuse me of is being miserly or lacking generosity."

Fox concluded: "So try again on another day (probably [tomorrow]!) with some different bulls—t you bunch of psychos."

Even under Fox's most recent IG post, fans in the comment section are still calling her out for the whole thing.

Miranda Lambert Fans 'Appalled' After Singer Calls Them Out For Taking A Selfie At Her Show

Lambert also found herself at the center of controversy from fans following her Las Vegas show a few weeks back. One fan who attended the concert, Adela Calin, told NBC News that she was "appalled" after being publicly admonished by Lambert for taking a group photo.

Calin said that the country superstar stopped singing in the middle of a performance of "Tin Man." Lamber spotted Calin and five of her friends posing for a quick pic. "It was 30 seconds at most,"

Calin, a social media influencer from Las Vegas, said told the outlet in a phone interview. "We took the picture quickly and were going to sit back down."

The moment was recorded and posted in a TikTok video by another attendee, which went viral with over 1.4 million views and 81,000 likes. "I’m gonna stop right here for a sec," Lambert is heard saying in the clip. "These girls are worried about a selfie and not listening to the song, and it’s pissing me off a little bit."

Many fans took to Calin's defense in the post's comment  section, stressing that Lambert "could have waited" till the end of the performance to say something in a "more gentle way" instead of "humiliating" the group.

Others said they agreed with Lambert, as it was indeed "her show" and she could "do whatever" she wanted during it. Still, many fans are divided.

Doja Cat Faces Backlash After Calling Some Fans "Creepy" And Telling Them To "Get A Job"

In the past month, Doja Cat has faced major online criticism after dismissing her fans' concerns about her reported relationship with J. Cyrus.

It is reported that after the two were seen kissing on a yacht in June, many on social media accused Cyrus of grooming and sexual misconduct, leading many to demand that the "Woman" singer address the controversy.

In response, she blocked people who had publicly accused Cyrus, and stated on Instagram that she was not interested in what people thought of her "personal life."

"I WANT YALL TO READ THIS COMMENT AND TAKE IT AS A MESSAGE. I DONT GIVE A F—K WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE I NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL GIVE A F—K WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME OR MY PERSONAL LIFE GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE MISERABLE HOES HAHA!" she wrote.

Later, the "You Right" hitmaker caused even more uproar after she insulted some hardcore fans by calling them "creepy" and telling them to "get a job" in a post on Threads.

Moreover, a screenshot surfaced of her responding to a fan asking her to express love to her supporters by saying she doesn't, though, "cuz i don't even know yall," which has led to hundreds of thousands of people unfollowing her on her social media accounts.

A different user then wrote to the Grammy winner: "and we don’t know you. but we have supported you through thick and thin. mind you you’d be NOTHING without us. you’d be working at a grocery store making songs on f—g garage band miss high school drop out."

Doja replied: "nobody forced you idk why you’re talking to me like you’re my mother b—h you sound like a crazy person."

Doja Cat's real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini. She replied to one fan who had her full name in their username: "you making my government name ur sn is creepy as f—k."

The rapper went on to say: "my fans don't name themselves s—t. if you call yourself a 'kitten' or f—g 'kittenz' that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house." (Doja Cat identified the followers of her career as 'Kittens' in a Twitter poll some years ago, and this term has become commonly associated with her fans.)

While the musician has lost thousands of followers this week for her controversial comments, some users on Twitter are actually commending her for "calling out the creepy parasocial relationships some fans think they have with famous people," as one wrote, stressing that Doja Cat doesn't have to "love" her fans, as they are actually "people she doesn't know."

Others, however, are still "hurt"  by her words and continue to unfollow her and delete former fan pages dedicated to her.
