Since her debut in 2016, Billie Eilish has proven herself as a legend in the entertainment industry. Billie has released two consecutive No. 1 albums, became one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2021, and co-chaired the 2021 Met Gala. Of course, she's earned coveted awards for her music, including seven Grammys, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and three Video Music Awards. She's up for five moon person awards at MTV's 2022 Video Music Awards, including Song of the Year, Best Pop, Best Longform Video, Best Direction, and Best Video Effects.

However, Billie's not making her way to the 2022 VMAs due to her touring schedule. The 20-year-old singer recently wrapped her first-ever Asian tour, where she performed across the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan.

According to an Instagram post, Billie was still working her way around Asia as of August 22. Her last show took place at Tokyo's Ariake Arena on Friday, August 26. The 2022 VMAs are taking place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on August 28, and since it takes about 13 hours to get to Jersey from Tokyo, it totally makes sense why Billie skipped out on this year's ceremony.

Per Billie's official website, she's set to tour Australia and New Zealand starting September 8, so she'll probably be booking some time for relaxation between now and then.

Here's to hoping Billie gets some well-deserved rest while hopefully adding more moon people to her already-impressive list of accolades!
