  • Wondering what app everyone is using to get pictures of themselves looking old on Instagram?

  • It’s called FaceApp, and you can download it below, so scroll TF down!

Hello, and welcome. If you’re here, you are likely confused about why literally everyone on your Instagram timeline will not stop posting photos of themselves as old people. It’s like, you’re sitting there minding your own business, looking at millions of pics from Kylie Jenner’s vacation, and then the Jonas Brothers blow up your timeline with this absolute fright fest:

And then this happens, shaking you to your very core:

So, WHAT IS THIS SORCERY? And more important, how can you get in on it without embarrassing yourself and asking a friend who will inevitably shade you for being 24 hours late to the game?

It’s called FaceApp.

And you can download it, below.

The app has actually been around for years and uses artificial intelligence to read your face. Actually, you might remember that FaceApp caused a ton of controversy in 2017 for its “ethnicity filters,” which...yeah, was probably the worst idea ever. But it looks like they’re back again for another (way less controversial) viral moment.

Before you jump on it, one quick thing. If you’re concerned about photo sharing and privacy, there is some question as to whether FaceApp can access all your pics or not, so tread carefully!

On that note, hope future you doesn’t have too many wrinkles.
