Here’s What’s Really Going on With Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra’s “Feud”
Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra are in a rumored “feud,” but new sources say they’re “still very close friends” and “talk frequently.”
Feud rumors emerged after Meghan skipped Priyanka’s wedding in December 2018 and Priyanka skipped Meghan’s NYC baby shower in February.
Okay, so back in February (which, frankly, seems like years ago), Page Six came out with a somewhat wild report that Meghan Markle and her close friend Priyanka Chopra were feuding. At the time, an “insider” claimed that the pair had hit a rough patch thanks to the duchess skipping Priyanka’s wedding to Nick Jonas in December.
“Priyanka was crushed,” a source told the outlet, adding that the wedding snub caused the actress to skip Meghan’s baby shower in NYC. “Their friendship is over unless Meghan apologizes. Priyanka is a huge international star with a tremendous social media following. She is probably more famous worldwide than Meghan is. She feels Meghan didn’t respect her and didn’t respect their friendship.”
Kay...so...is that true? According to a rival source who spoke to E!, not so much. In fact, Meghan and Priyanka talk all the damn time. “All the rumors that Priyanka and Meghan aren’t friends anymore are totally not true,” the source explains. “Priyanka and Meghan are still very close friends, and they talk frequently.”
Turns out Meghan even “confides in Priyanka about the adjustments she has to make with being a royal. Just because Priyanka didn’t go to the shower or Meghan couldn’t come to her wedding(s) doesn’t mean anything about their friendship. They’re still very close friends, and Meghan considers Priyanka one of her closest confidants.”
