Khloé Kardashian is sharing her grocery go-to’s with fans. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star recently revealed a list of foods on her website that her nutritionist tells her she should always keep on hand in fridge and pantry.

On the list: cans of albacore tuna, squeezable fruit packets, chicken and fish, and tortilla wraps. Here’s the rationale, per Khloé, plus we asked a few nutritionists what they think of the list:

Canned tuna

“It’s an ideal source of high quality, low-fat protein,” Khloé writes on her website. “Make sure to buy the cans that are in water not oil.” Jessica Cording, a New York-based registered dietitian tells Yahoo Beauty that water-packed tuna is a “convenient, shelf-stable lean protein option that also provides some omega-3’s.” However, she prefers pouches to cans because they pack a little easier if you’re on the go. “Not needing a can opener is a plus,” she points out.

Squeezable fruit packets

“This are a tasty alternative to fresh fruit if you’re on the go,” Khloe says. “They have an awesome shelf life and don’t rot or bruise like whole fruits.” Julie Upton, M.S., R.D., co-founder of nutrition website Appetite for Health, agrees that fruit packets are convenient, but she tells Yahoo Beauty that nothing replaces whole, fresh fruits and vegetables. “If the concern is spoilage, then opt for frozen or low-sodium canned options,” she says. “The variety from fresh, frozen, or canned far outweighs the options that come in squeezable fruit pouches.” Cording also says she “generally wouldn’t recommend this one” since fruit tends to be easier to grab on the go than other healthy snacks.”

Chicken and fish

Khloé says it’s best to buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts and to opt for fatty fishes like salmon, sea bass, or black cod. “Buy enough to cook in advance for a few days at a time so that you always have cooked protein on hand in the fridge,” she writes. Cording agrees. “Both are great lean protein options,” she says, noting that it’s good to buy organic chicken and wild fish whenever possible. If you want to save money, she also recommends less-expensive chicken thighs, which have a similar nutrition profile, but more flavor.

Tortilla wraps

It’s a good starch option that stores well and is quick and convenient, Khloe says. Cording says tortilla wraps are convenient, but it’s a good idea to go for a whole grain option and keep an eye on portion size. “A lot of wraps are oversized, and a white flour tortilla is basically the same as eating white bread,” she says.

While this clearly isn’t all the reality star is eating, Upton points out that she could benefit from having vegetables as part of her go-to’s, as well as more plant-based proteins like beans, nuts, and seeds. She’s also missing a calcium source like Greek yogurt or milk (the star has said she eschews dairy). But overall, the experts agree that it’s a pretty good list.
