The 65th Grammy Awards will take place on Sunday 5th February 2023 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. In addition to handing out gongs to some of the most celebrated artists of the last year—singers like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are predicted to clean up—the evening will also include an homage to the hip-hop genre to coincide with its golden anniversary. It is also expected to be a big night for Latin music stars who have previously been underrepresented in the award categories; Bad Bunny is up for several awards, while Rosalia and Anitta are both nominated for Best Newcomer.

There will also be an In Memoriam sequence to honor the artists who have died over the last year, including rapper Coolio, Migos member Takeoff, singer and actress Olivia Newton-John, country star Loretta Lynn, and Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie. The evening will include a number of tribute performances: Kacey Musgraves will sing 'Coal Miner's Daughter' for Loretta Lynn, Takeoff will be honored by his uncle Quavo, and Mick Fleetwood, Bonnie Raitt and Sheryl Crow will remember Christine McVie with a rendition of 'Songbird.'

Who is nominated at the 2023 Grammys?

Beyoncé Knowles stands a good chance of becoming the winningest artist of all time at the Grammys this year. She is already the Recording Academy's most awarded female musician with 28 wins, and has nine nominations this year: if she wins four, she will break the record for most wins in the institution's history. And considering the pretty universal acclaim that she has received for her most recent album Renaissance, it's not out of the question.

Other nominees up for Album of the Year include Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Taylor Swift's Midnights, Lizzo's Special, Adele's 30, ABBA's Voyage, Bad Bunny's Un Verano Sin Ti, Mary J. Blige's Good Morning Gorgeous, Brandi Carlisle's In These Silent Days, Coldplay's Music of the Spheres, and Harry's House by Harry Styles.
