Here's What Todd Chrisley Really Thinks About Son Chase's New Girlfriend

Todd Chrisley, the opinionated patriarch of the Chrisley family, recently weighed in on one of his kids' relationships-and Chrisley Knows Best fans won't believe what the protective dad said.

Todd publicly introduced Chase Chrisley's girlfriend, Lindsey Merrick, to his followers with a touching Instagram post that clearly expressed his approval of the young woman.

"This just makes me smile, I’m so thrilled to formally introduce to the world one of the sweetest souls around," Todd captioned an adorable photo of his son and Lindsey. "We are so blessed to have this young lady [in Chase's] life, we love you sweet girl."

The warm introduction was similar to a post he shared about his daughter Savannah's boyfriend, Nic Kerdiles, shortly after they began dating.

However, the famous father of five hasn't always been so welcoming. Last year he revealed that he never liked Chase's ex-girlfriend and felt "great comfort" after they broke up. Yikes!

Todd is known for his fierce loyalty to his family and remains very involved in his adult children's lives-often times through the internet.

"I'm not trying to be nosy, but I do stalk your social media," he admitted to Chase after his breakup.

But Todd's interest in his son's relationship doesn't stop at his Instagram page. The reality star follows Lindsey on the platform as well, and fans often notice him commenting on her posts. Unlike with Chase's last love interest, the dad has nothing but nice things to say about her.

Last month, Lindsey posted a touching tribute to her late grandfather and Todd took the opportunity to tell her how much she means to the Chrisley family.

"He built you with a solid foundation sweet girl and we are so grateful to him for helping to shape you into the young woman you are today, we love with you with all our hearts," he wrote on the post. Lindsey's mother replied to Todd, saying she was "grateful" for him.

More recently, Chase's girlfriend shared a photo flashing her bright smile to promote a teeth whitening kit. Todd appeared in the comments section again with a kind note: "Is that what causes you to light up the room when you walk in?" Lindsey replied saying "love you" to the man one fan called her "future father-in-law."

Chase and Lindsey do not appear to be engaged (yet), but we're sure Todd will be the first to tell us when it happens!
