Toby Keith celebrated his 62nd birthday with a splash!

The country superstar enjoyed a low-key dinner at Uncle Julio’s Mexican Restaurant in Orlando, Florida, complete with a watermelon raspberry cake for dessert, but he wasn't alone—Jimmy Houston, fishing legend, host of Jimmy Houston Outdoors, and brand ambassador for Keith's Luck E Strike, was there to help him celebrate!

The famous fisherman shared a photo of the "Should've Been a Cowboy" singer getting ready to dig into the watermelon-shaped cake on Facebook on July 12, documenting the occasion concisely in the caption: "jimmy is with Toby Keith at Uncle Julio’s Mexican Restaurant in Orlando. Happy Birthday Toby!!! Watermelon Raspberry Cake!!!"

Keith gave a thumbs up to the camera, smiling gently for the quick pic. His birthday fell on July 8th, so it's unclear if this is a delayed upload or a belated celebration, but we're sure he enjoyed it just the same!

Keith has been getting back out into the spotlight recently amid a multi-year battle with stomach cancer, taking the stage for a pair of surprise performances ahead of the July 4th holiday weekend—his first concerts since revealing his diagnosis.

He appeared to be testing out his endurance after stepping back to allow his body time to heal.

This past December, he assured fans he was working on “getting back to fightin’ shape,” sharing just last month that he was "feeling pretty good."

"Basically, everything is in a real positive trend... [but] you never know with cancer, so you have to prepare," he told local outlet The Oklahoman, adding that he was hoping to be able to hit the road again this fall.

He's still undergoing chemotherapy, so he'll need to be able to take a break from that in order to do so, but he's feeling pretty optimistic after finding that his tumor has decreased in size by a third.

"I expect next time I look for that tumor to be even less," he said, adding, "and I've only got one that's shown up." Keith expects to have his last scan later this month or early next.
