Here's the Real Reason Liam Hemsworth Decided to File for Divorce From Miley Cyrus
When Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth separated, the two had, according to multiple reports, intended to just take a break and try to work things out. They wanted to reconcile and were waiting to file for divorce to see if they could do it. Then Hemsworth pulled the trigger and filed legal docs for divorce on Wednesday. Why? According to E!'s source, seeing the photos of Cyrus kissing Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter were his final straw.
That was the moment Hemsworth realized he "can't do this anymore," the source said. "Even though Miley and Liam were separated for a while before she was photographed making out on the yacht with Kaitlynn, once Liam saw those photos he decided it was time to file for divorce. That was it for him, seeing those photos and then all the Soho House stories thereafter." Hemsworth still cares about Cyrus. "He doesn't want anything bad for Miley at all," the source added.
Yes, he is a little down, the source said, but he's okay. "He's sad but he's honestly fine overall. He wants to just get this done."
A separate source told E!, meanwhile, that Cyrus is struggling too. "Miley just wants to be healthy and happy. This isn't easy for her."
On Twitter yesterday, Cyrus made her feelings for Hemsworth crystal clear: "Liam and I have been together for a decade," she wrote. "I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will. BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time."
