Let's begin with all of the new teasers and trailers that dropped this week, shall we?

1.First off, we got an official teaser for My Policeman, an upcoming romantic drama starring Harry Styles!

Based on the novel of the same name by Bethan Roberts, My Policeman is set in the 1950s and follows the story of a gay policeman named Tom (Styles) who is forced to hide his sexuality. He eventually marries a schoolteacher, Marion (Emma Corrin), while being romantically entangled with a museum curator named Patrick (David Dawson).

Regarding the role and the intimate love scenes, Styles recently said, "It does feel vulnerable. I'd never kissed anyone on camera before, and it felt like giving a part of myself away in some ways. I wasn't naked in Don't Worry Darling. I was naked in My Policeman."

My Policeman is slated to hit Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 21!

2.Next up, we got a look at Dakota Johnson as Anne Elliot in the Netflix adaptation of Jane Austen's iconic novel, Persuasion.

Eight years after Anne (Johnson) was persuaded by her family not to marry the love of her life, Frederick Wentworth, he comes crashing back into her world. As a result, Anne must decide to either move on from her past or take a possible second chance at first love.

While the film clearly looks beautiful and very fun — frankly, it had me at "Henry Golding wearing a top hat."

Persuasion is slated to hit Netflix on July 15!

3.And Matilda's getting a musical makeover, also thanks to Netflix!

Based on equal parts Roald Dahl's classic book and the Broadway show, Matilda sees everyone's favorite child prodigy and telekinesis expert sing and dance her beloved story to new heights.

4.Last but certainly not least, we got our first teaser for Netflix's highly anticipated Blonde!

The NC-17-rated biopic is adapted from Joyce Carol Oates's novel, Blonde, which is a fictionalized version of the life of actor and icon Marilyn Monroe, played here by Ana de Armas.

Of her performance, Ana's Knives Out costar Jamie Lee Curtis said: "I dropped to the floor. I couldn't believe it. Ana was completely gone. She was Marilyn."

Next up, let's look at some fun and ~interesting~ little pre-production announcements and behind-the-scenes tidbits:

5.First, 2019's Joker very well might be getting a sequel — and, trust me, the news only gets wilder from there!

So...this week, the Hollywood Reporter reported that Lady Gaga is allegedly in early talks to star alongside Joaquin Phoenix. It's been posited that she'll possibly play this universe's Harley Quinn.

And, no, it doesn't stop there: It's also being reported that the sequel may be a musical.

7.And Paddington Bear is back and headed to Peru in the aptly named Paddington in Peru!

Little is known about the sequel (threequel?) as of now, but we do know that Dougal Wilson has been tapped to direct the film, as Paul King — who directed the first two Paddington live-action films — is currently busy working on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel, Wonka, which stars Timothée Chalamet.

Of directing the film, Wilson said, "As a huge fan of the first two films, I am very excited (if not a little intimidated) to be continuing the story of Paddington. It’s a massive responsibility, but all my efforts will be focused on making a third film that honors the love so many people have for this very special bear."

8.And we got our first look at Ryan Gosling as Ken in Greta Gerwig's upcoming Barbie movie.

And you better believe the internet had all kinds of A+ jokes — like this one:

9.The Hollywood Reporter reported that Paramount and Nickelodeon are planning three films based in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender.

According to the report, Lauren Montgomery is attached to direct the first of the three films, while Avatar co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino are signed on to produce.

“As original creators Mike and Bryan expand the Avatar universe with us, we’re keeping it all in the family with Lauren bringing the same kind of expert, beautiful work she did on the original series to her new directing duties on the forthcoming theatrical," said Ramsey Naito, president of animation at Paramount and Nickelodeon Animation.

10.And the Knives Out sequel finally has an official title, Glass Onion, likely referencing the classic Beatles tune of the same name.

"Something I love about Agatha Christie is how she never tread water creatively. I think there’s a misperception that her books use the same formula over and over, but fans know the opposite is true," director/writer Rian Johnson wrote on Twitter. "It wasn’t just settings or murder methods, she was constantly stretching the genre conceptually."

"Under the umbrella of the whodunnit, she wrote spy thrillers, proto-slasher horrors, serial killer hunts, gothic romances, psychological character studies, glam travelogues," he continued. "When I made Knives Out, that’s what excited me about the prospect of making more mysteries with Daniel [Craig] as Benoit Blanc — to emulate Christie and have every film be like a whole new book, with its own tone, ambition, [and] reason for being."

"Buzz Lightyear to Star Command, do you copy?!" The newest from Pixar offers the story of the man behind the toy, taking a very meta approach. As explained by Chris Evans himself, this movie is designed to be the movie Andy and his friends saw that launched 1,000 toy purchases, similar to how Woody's Round-Up was the show that made Woody's toy so popular!
