Today in Pete Davidson™, the Saturday Night Live actor was joined onstage by Miley Cyrus during an appearance on The Tonight Show—where Miley grabbed a microphone and serenaded Pete with “It Should Have Been Me.” She even introduced the cover with “Pete Davidson, this song is for you. When I saw those ‘photos,’ this is what I played.” His reaction? Awkward giggles, mostly.

Anyway, come for Pete’s embarrassed face, and stay for Miley’s references to Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson’s forever iconic date in Staten Island!

Honestly, the vibes are top notch—and you’ll get more from Pete and Miley when they join forces on New Year’s Eve later this month. Pete is actually cohosting Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, which will air live on NBC on Friday December 31 and includes “a star-studded lineup of special guests and musical performances for a must-watch evening.”

Miley told Jimmy Fallon that she wanted to honor 2021 and the “micro moments of happiness that all of us can find” and decided to hold the event in Miami because she doesn’t like to be cold. As she put it, “He’ll be funny and I’ll be naked and together we’ve got a show.”

Miley also spoke about her previous Times Square New Year’s Eve experience, saying she was traumatized because her Hannah Montana wig got “frozen to my head from it being so cold outside” and she had to legit wait until it melted to remove it.

What a TIME we’re living in.
