  • Matt Damon recently got a new tattoo by Winter Stone.

  • The new ink is dedicated to the actor's four daughters.

  • Damon also has a tattoo of his wife's name.

Ah, celebrity tattoos. They are often too big, too weird, and sometimes, just downright ugly. Matt Damon wisely decided that he was not going to be a part of the bad celebrity tattoo brigade, and when he wanted to get some ink in a sweet nod to his kids, he went to LA-based tattoo artist David Stone.

Damon got the names of his four daughters, Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella, tattooed in cursive on his right arm, and it looks great. Stone, who goes by Winter Stone on Instagram, posted the photo on his page, saying that it was an "honor tattooing one of my favorite actors!"

Stone is known for his single needle tattoos, and he's tattooed other celebrities like John Legend, Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, and Lady Gaga.

The new ink fits in right next to Damon's "Lucy" tattoo, which is in reference to his wife, Luciana Barroso.

Damon is best friends with Ben Affleck, who as we all know, has one of the most interesting back tattoos we have ever seen. While the two friends have very different taste in tattoos, People reports that Damon appreciates Affleck's eclectic taste in ink. During a 2018 appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, he said that he "supported" his friend's massive, colorful, phoenix tattoo.

"It’s not one man’s job to tell another man what he can do to his back," Damon said. I support him in all of his artistic expression." What a friend. With better tattoos.
