While a marshmallow-flavored Coke does sound delicious, that is not the flavor profile of Marshmello's new collab with the soda brand. Instead, the electronic music producer's Limited Edition Coca-Cola is a summer-friendly drink that "fuses strawberry and watermelon flavors with a great Coke taste," according to a press release.

Hitting shelves in July, it will be the brand's first-ever beverage co-created with an artist. The cans are heavy on Marshmello's signature aesthetic and feature striking black and white visuals and drippy Coca-Cola Spencerian script.

“We created a vibey blend of my favorite flavors in this all-new mix,” Marshmello said in a statement. “I think it tastes amazing and hope fans love it, too.”

As Marshmello told Billboard, “Everybody’s like, ‘You’re going to do a marshmallow flavor?’ That’s why I really didn’t want to do it, so we just started messing around with different flavors." And after considering many flavor options, "we homed in on [strawberry and watermelon] and that was that.”

Starting July 11, Marshmello’s Coca-Cola will be available in the U.S. and then select countries around the world. There will also be a zero-sugar version.

“From the beginning, we wanted this to be a collaborative process that could come to life and feel authentic to both of our brands,” said Oana Vlad, Senior Director, Global Strategy of the Coca-Cola Company. “Everyone rolled up their sleeves and had a lot of fun... Marshmello is known as a connector of fans, so our values are aligned.”

And beginning July 25, Marshmello fans can scan a QR code on the can to gain access to the DJ's latest track and a personalized piece of digital art.
