Here's a look inside Sam Fox's luxury Phoenix hotel, plus how much rooms cost
The Global Ambassador, the new luxury hotel in Phoenix from renowned restaurateur Sam Fox, offered a first look inside with just months to go before its November opening.
Fox also revealed that Global Ambassador will be the first Arizona hotel listed under Preferred Hotels & Resorts' highest category for luxury experiences at independent hotels and resorts.
The 141-room hotel at 44th Street and Camelback Road will have a residential look and feel, with influences from Fox's global travels. Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald Jr. and country singer Dierks Bentley are also involved with the project.
Fox previously announced five restaurants for the resort, including theà, a Mediterranean rooftop restaurant that will overlook Camelback Mountain.

When will The Global Ambassador hotel open?
The Global Ambassador is scheduled to open in mid-November 2023, but an exact date remains unknown.
Hotel staff expects reservations will open in mid-October for stays starting in December.
What will the rooms look like?
The Global Ambassador will have 141 rooms: 92 rooms with one king bed, 19 rooms with two queen beds and 30 suites. Fox said the rooms are "as thoughtful in function as they are in beauty."
The first picture of a room at the Global Ambassador showcases a sleek, modern look with touches that include lamps encased in what looks like a flask. Arizona artist Michael Carson, a friend of Fox, specifically created artwork for the hotel that is framed and placed above the bed.
Fox collaborated with Judith Testani of Testani Design Troupe to design the hotel, taking inspiration from Fox's international travels. Rooms feature oak hardwood flooring, fabric wall coverings and high-end bathroom fixtures from Waterworks.
Rooms have private balconies overlooking Camelback Mountain.
What hotel brand is The Global Ambassador?
Fox said The Global Ambassador will be a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts' Legend Collection, recognizing independent luxury hotels and resorts with the highest standards of excellence.
The Global Ambassador will be Arizona's first hotel in the Legend Collection. Three other Arizona resorts — The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, the Scottsdale Plaza Resort & Villas in Scottsdale, and Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson — are in Preferred Hotels' Lifestyle Collection, a class of hotels recognizing "approachable luxury" and "local flair."
