Here's How Long 'The Voice' Will be on the Air Before It Runs Out of Episodes

From Country Living

  • The Voice will continue to run new episodes through April.

  • They have not determined if the Live Shows will air as planned in May, according to coach John Legend.

While many of our favorite TV shows are going on hiatus amid the coronavirus pandemic, The Voice is sticking with us. At least for a few more weeks.

Longtime fans have probably been wondering what’s going to happen to the reality singing competition, as the Blind Auditions just ended. Thankfully, coach John Legend shed some light on the schedule and we’re here to pass along the info.

According to Billboard, John said that NBC has pre-taped episodes banked until the end of April. Phew! That means we have several more hours ahead of us that will serve as the perfect distraction.

Unfortunately, the next stage in the series—the Lives, where the viewers finally get to vote—is up in the air as of now.

“There were only three weeks of live shows planned and those were for May,” John told the Associated Press. “So who knows what we’ll do? I don’t know if we’ll be able to do them without an audience. I haven’t spoken to producers about what the plans are.”

He continued, “I think everybody’s playing things by ear because we don’t know where the world’s going to be in May. But if we can do those shows in May, that’d be great. Possibly without an audience, that would be understandable. But, you know, if we can pull it off then that would be great. We’ll see if that’s doable.”

Here’s hoping!
