Gal Gadot is giving fans a little inside scoop on the making of the new Snow White movie.

Gadot, who is set to play the Evil Queen in Disney's upcoming live-action remake of the 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, said that getting ready for the audition required a lot more prep than other roles she's applied to be considered for in the past.

According to the 38-year-old, it took the Wonder Woman star close to a month of practicing just to get the parts for the audition right.

"It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while," she told GQ reporters in an interview released Friday. "They needed to make sure I can sing, because this is a musical. So for a month I was working on the song, and then I auditioned, and we filmed the song and I got the part, and it was very exciting."

Though long, the process was worth it, as she described working on the film as "delicious and delightful."

"It was so much to shoot, because it's so different from anything I've ever done," Gadot shared. "It's so delicious and delightful, and I could really go big and theatrical."

The film also stars Rachel Zegler (West Side Story and Shazam! Fury of the Gods) as Snow White, Andrew Burnap (Under the Banner of Heaven and WeCrashed) as Jonathan and Ansu Kabia (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw) as the Huntsman.

Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man) and written by Greta Gerwig (Barbie, Little Women, Lady Bird), Snow White is said to feature all-new songs by songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (some of the talent behind The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen) who also worked on the lyrics for new songs in the 2019 remake of Disney's Aladdin and previously won an Oscar for their lyrical work in the 2016 hit La La Land.

Snow White is currently in post-production and is expected to hit theaters on March 22, 2024.
