NCIS: New Orleans has set a date for its last episode.

We know, it’s a tough pill to swallow. NCIS: NOLA has been on for seven seasons and now it’s ending just like that!? What will happen to Scott Bakula and the rest of the beloved cast? Life can be so unfair.

But it’s true, the NCIS spinoff is coming to a close, and it’s probably sooner than you’d like, too. The last episode of NCIS: New Orleans will air on Sunday, May 23. Mark your calendars and check on your tissue supply accordingly.

It’s a little unclear why NCIS: NOLA got cancelled, but the creators and the cast are happy to have had the experience.

“Sad to end our love affair with this phenomenal city but so grateful for all the friends we made along the way,” Scott said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “I will miss the music. Big thank you to CBS for seven years.”

Even though it’s always sad to see a beloved show end, there is some good news on the horizon. There are talks of an NCIS: Hawaii coming out soon, which fans already have a ton of theories about. (Hint: They think Ziva and Tony might be involved.) At least there’d be a new crew to meet and love! Plus, we still have NCIS: Los Angeles and as long as Deeks and Kensi are around, we’re happy campers.
