Here's what you need to know about this year's Downtown Fort Collins Art Week

Get ready for Downtown Fort Collins to come alive with 10 days of art, pop-up performances, artist-led workshops and more as the city celebrates the third annual Downtown Fort Collins Art Week.

Sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority and seven downtown partners, 30 businesses will participate in Art Week beginning May 3 with the First Friday Art Walk, offering pop-up performances, sing-alongs for kids, Debut Theatre production of "James and the Giant Peach," modern band concert from Polaris K-12 school and more. Art Week will run through May 12.

Here's what you need to know about Art Week:

Free artist-led workshops

Petrichor Collective is hosting workshops at its studios, Visit Fort Collins Downtown Visitor Information Center and Poudre libraries. The Museum of Fine Art/Fort Collins is hosting workshops at the MOA. Workshops are free but space is limited and registration is required. Visit the Downtown Fort Collins Art Week page, https://downtownfortcollins.com/play/art-week, for more information.

Tiny Art Hide and Seek

Local artists have created tiny pieces of artwork for you to seek and find. The pieces have been hidden downtown for people to find and keep "with the intention of spreading smiles to those lucky enough to locate them."

Collectible postcards

Local artist Mallory Cash created one-of-a-kind postcards for the event. Collect the set of two and mail them, give them away, or frame them and keep for yourself. Postcard quantities are limited and will only be available during Art Week at participating businesses.
