Here's everything we know so far about the 2021 Call the Midwife Christmas Special.

When will the special air?

Though American fans typically have to wait a while after our British counterparts to get a look at new Call the Midwife, the holiday special is generally an exception. Though nothing official has been announced yet, the Christmas special traditionally airs on PBS Masterpiece on December 25 in the US, the same day it debuts in the UK. We'll update this story when and if an official airing is announced.

The first images of the Christmas special have arrived.

In late September, the show has shared the first official images from the special on their Twitter account, revealing what looks to be some fun in the snow with Reggie and Lucille.

No official synopsis has been released yet, but we do know of at least one very special celebration that we can expect to see. As alluded to in season 10, Lucille and Cyril are planning a holiday wedding, so fans should have plenty to be merry about when the special airs.

Though the show recently left Netflix, you can still catch up by purchasing Call the Midwife's previous seasons through Amazon Prime.
