Fans are already guessing the celebrities under each costume, including the true identity of a certain extraterrestrial puppet.
Baby Alien is an especially charming contestant that has fans stumped.
The fourth season of The Masked Singer recently premiered, finally providing us all with “something fun involving masks,” according to host Nick Cannon.
Sixteen masked performers are included in this season of the show, with the costumes—and performances—more extravagant than ever. In the show’s midst is a certain young extraterrestrial, dubbed Baby Alien, who has fans puzzled with cuteness and charm. Just call this mysterious youngin' the Baby Yoda of The Masked Singer.
Here’s everything we know so far about Baby Alien—and some guesses on the performer's true identity to spark your curiosity. (This post will be updated throughout season 4 of The Masked Singer.)
What clues do we know about Baby Alien?
In Baby Alien’s intro package on a teaser episode of The Masked Singer, the character says they are taking their “first steps into a new world,” suggesting the celebrity behind the mask isn’t a singer by trade.
“If you’re looking for a hint about this baby alien, all you have to do is look to the stars,” Baby Alien says in the intro package, directing viewers to look at a starry night sky flashing the number “5.”
During week 2, Baby Alien gave their take on George Michael's "Faith." It's not winner material, but it's not bad, either.
We also learned a few new clues, too:
They've been "stuck in second gear for a while."
They appeared on stage of the Tony Awards.
There's a horseshoe seen throughout the clue drop, for no particular reason, as well as a vampire stake.

Who is Baby Alien on The Masked Singer?
Interestingly, the Baby Alien costume is actually a puppet in a bigger UFO costume. Figuring the celebrity inside needs puppeteering skills to successfully operate the costume, some fans have guessed America’s Got Talent winner and ventriloquist Darci Lynne is behind the mask. As one fan pointed out, Lynne has five main puppets she works with, giving her a possible tie to the clue. Others guessed ventriloquist and stand-up comedian Jeff Dunham and America’s Got Talent winner and ventriloquist Terry Fator.
Going a totally different direction, other fans have guessed Baby Alien is Scott Disick due to a seemingly small yet hilarious tie to the star. At the beginning of Baby Alien’s welcome package, the character says “It’s me, Baby Alien,” which mimics Scott’s famous “It’s me, Todd Kraines” prank on Kris Jenner.
But now it looks like none of these guesses are relevant to the clues. Our judges guessed Ralphi Macchio, David Schwimmer, and Freddie Prinze Jr. Macchio's not such a bad guess, since he's appeared on Broadway before. But some Redditors believe it's actor Jason Segel behind the mask, who also appeared on Broadway and is an apparent fan of puppets. Aren't we all?
