It’s been a full year since a talking white traffic cone named “Lana” first invited ten horny influencers, trainers, models, and just generally beautiful people onto a paradise island, at first having each believe it would all be sunshine and orgies, and then informing the group of the real competition: no sexual contact of any kind—break the rule, and everyone loses money. Too Hot to Handle probably feels now like a pandemic fever dream, a serendipitous reality show that somehow matched all our pent-up frustration caused by social isolation and a global illness that, like Lana, forbade all forms of physical affection. It came at the perfect time... so to speak.

Now Too Hot to Handle is onto its second season—somehow filming during said pandemic, somehow finding people willing to get all touchy-feely during said pandemic—and, behold, another round of (maybe this time a bit less welcome) horniness, drama, and proof that a British accent cannot mask occasional idiocy. In truth: we’re pretty excited. Only culture snobs scoff at reality TV. For the rest of us, it’s merely upside-down art.

Before we get into the new hot season, however, we’ve been wondering what happened to the old guard—since, we have to focus really hard to remember, the series does in fact feature real people who are alive and presumably on this Earth. So we did a bit of intrepid Instagram research. Here’s where the season 1 cast of Too Hot to Handle is now. (We think, we’re pretty sure, does Instagram ever lie?)

Chloe Veitch

Chloe! One of our favorites. She recently competed on The Circle, where she finished in second place. Now that she’s got two reality shows down, Veitch has become Full Reality Star. Her Instagram (now with more followers than Men’s Health... sigh) says she’s working as a TV personality and model. Veitch also uses her Instagram as a platform for her father’s charity, Stand Recover Centre, a housing program for those recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.

Nicole O’Brien

Nicole and Chloe appear to have maintained a strong friendship since their time on the show. Nicole is now working in music, releasing a new single next month. She said in an interview that she’s also filming a celebrity dating show, to be released later this year.

Francesca Farago

Frankie may have the largest social media following of any of the season 1 contestants. She works as an influencer and has her own swimsuit line. She was at one point engaged to co-contestant Harry Jowsey, but it seems the two have split for good, for now, we’ll see.

Harry Jowsey

This naughty possum made the move to California after the show. He appears to work as an influencer there. He’s also turned his joint YouTube account with Frankie into his own project.

David Birtwistle

Ultimate wingman, David Birtwisle, was the real winner of season 1. He left the season in an apparent relationship with Lydia Clyma. (The two seem to have amicably broken up.) He’s since continued his personal training, opening an online coaching platform Endeavour, following his season 1 run.

Lydia Clyma

Lydia was one of the late comers to the island. She’s amassed enough followers now to work as an influencer, partnering with fashion brands. She recently got a super cute dog.

Kelechi Dyke

Kelz continues to play pro football (American football) for the London Warriors. As one of the few contestants to take losing money seriously, we hope Kelz is rolling in it now.

Rhonda Paul

Rhonda was one of the more serious contestants and had maybe the realest moments of the entire season, introducing Sharron to her son and asking for accountability. (You’re too good for this TV genre, Rhonda.) Rhonda and Sharron have since parted ways. Rhonda now works as an influencer and entrepreneur.

Sharron Townsend

Sharron seems to still be working as a personal trainer. He also founded Today I Smiled Project, to promote random acts of kindness.

Bryce Hirschberg

After a brief relationship with Nicole, Bryce seems to be back to bachelor boat life. According to his website, he works as a producer/director/writer/actor.

Haley Cureton

Haley became the group pariah in season one and seems to still cause a bit of group drama. According to ScreenRant, Sharron accused her of photoshopping his email into her OnlyFans subscriber list in an apparent attempt to garner more fans.

Matthew Stephen Smith

Matthew Stephen Smith: series walk out, model, Jesus, and now... children’s book author?

Kori Sampson

Another late addition, Kori seems to be still in the personal training business. According to his Instagram he also works as a manager for a modeling/influencer agency.

Madison Wyborny

Madison seems to be living that sweet influencer and stylist life. Her Instagram says she’s been working as a “Stylist / Model / Globetrotter.” What / A / Life.
