Lindsey Vonn has made it very clear over the past few years that she’s not phoning it in when it comes to her workout routines. But the former Olympic skier just shared on Instagram that she has as one special workout she opts for before a long flight—and she’s not messing around during the sweat sesh.

“Always try to prep for long travel to stay healthy and avoid jet lag,” the 38-year-old captioned a video of her workout. “Here’s my 1 hour workout followed by sauna and cold plunge. Need to hydrate and finish with a protein shake. Then ✈️ …. ✌🏻.”

Lindsey shares in the video that she kicks off her workout with a 45-minute interval bike ride. Doing more high-intensity intervals during a cardio workout can help you blast calories, build muscle, and give you a mental boost, Julia Sullivan, CPT, told Women's Health. Plus, biking is always a great, low-impact workout that takes pressure off your joints.

Lindsey revealed that her pre-flight workout warmup consists of two sets of body weight squats—20 lateral squats and 20 regular squats. These can help work your upper thighs and booty, and generally strengthen your legs. “I have to keep my quads strong or else it all falls apart,” she told one person in the comments.

That’s followed by two sets of 20 twisting reverse lunges Lindsey does while holding a weight. This is a full-body movement that helps engage your legs, butt muscles, and core, among other things.

You thought that was all? Nope. Lindsey moves on to TRX torso twists, doing two sets of 10 on each side to work her core.

After *all* of that, Lindsey says she will hop in the sauna and do a 20-minute cold plunge before declaring herself “ready to fly.” Phew! No wonder this world traveler stays super strong and toned despite her busy schedule.

Of course, this isn’t the only workout in her arsenal. Lindsey regularly drops behind-the-scenes photos and videos on Instagram from her exercise routines.
