Netflix's Virgin River has got us all hooked since the third series landed on the streamer a few weeks ago. In classic fashion, we binged it, we obsessed about it and then we started praying to the Netflix gods for another season. Well, it looks like we're in luck, with season four apparently on the cards.
Here's everything we know about series 4 of Netflix's Virgin River.
Has Virgin River S4 been confirmed?
Okay, so technically Netflix hasn't officially confirmed a fourth season of the show, but it's heavily rumoured to have been renewed by the streamer, with filming reportedly due to start this summer.
So while we shouldn't exactly hold our breath over it, season 4 looks pretty much certain at this point. Especially since the show was regularly in Netflix's top 10 list and the streamer previously renewed and sent season 3 into production before announcing that fact. Looks like they're at it again!
What's going to happen in Virgin River S4?
Where to even begin? When we left Mel and Jack at the end of series 3 there were some big questions left unanswered. The biggest one being, who is the father of Mel's unborn baby? It could still be Jack's - although we're not too confident - and may more likely be the child of her late husband Mark.
The good news is that showrunner Sue Tenney told TV Line back in July that was something we'd find out "by the end of the fourth season."
Which is as good as an official confirmation, right?
Who has been cast in Virgin River S4?
Since we don't have official confirmation just yet, we can't definitely confirm who's coming back for the fourth season of Virgin River, but we can be pretty certain that all the main cast - Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge), Jack (Martin Henderson), John (Colin Lawrence), Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley), Hope (Annette O'Toole) and Doc (Tim Matheson) - would be back for a fourth instalment.
When is Virgin River S4 being released?
If all our *many* theories are correct and the show follows the same pattern as previously, we should expect to see Virgin River season 4 sometime in mid to late 2022.
