Lil Mosey may only be 18, but the Seattle native has already made a big name for himself in the music industry. He shot to fame in 2017 after releasing his single "Pull Up", and now he's racking in millions. His songs and videos get millions of views on YouTube alone, and now he's even showing off his skills to a whole new kind of audience as one of the featured artists on the remix of Dixie D'Amelio's "Be Happy." His full name is Lathan Moses Stanley Echols.

He was born on January 25, 2002.

His brother basically got him into making music

In an interview with No Jumper, Mosey said that his older brother once stole his iPod for a few days. When Mosey got it back, his brother added Meek Mill's album Dreams and Nightmares to it and that album inspired him to start making his own music.

He dropped out of school to pursue his music dreams

Lil Mosey told Big Boi that he wanted to drop out of school for years, but his mom wouldn't let him. He even made a deal with her saying that if his first music video got 30k views in three days, he would drop out of school. Even though the video met that goal, he said his mom still wouldn't let him drop out.

He didn't finish school though. Before They Were Famous reports that Mosey eventually dropped out in the 10th grade.

He released his first song in 2016

Mosey dropped his first single, "Off White" on his SoundCloud in 2016, but he's come a long way since then. His music video for "Top Gone," released in 2020, received over nine million views in just one month. In April 2020, his song "Blueberry Faygo" was his first to make the top 10 of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, according to Billboard.

He's on Dixie D'Amelio's "Be Happy" Remix

And he's in the music video, too. The behind the scenes video shows Lil Mosey and fellow artist blackbear rapping and dancing in front of green screens alongside Dixie.

He's low-key a TikTok star

With over 3 million fans on TikTok, Mosey has found an audience on the app as well. He does post about his music on the platform, but he also posts videos of TikTok dances, and he's not afraid to make fun of himself.

He's signed to Interscope Records

Mosey is label mates with some of your faves like Billie Eilish and Blackpink.

He's worth millions

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lil Mosey is worth $3 million. He makes money from his music career, but he also owns his own label called Certified Hitmakers.

He's covered in ink

He doesn't have any tattoos on his face just yet, but he's got them all over his arms, hands and torso. His collection includes the words, "Thank God" on his chest and skull, a snake and the word "Loyalty" on his arms, and a dollar sign on one of his fingers.
