Fans are already guessing the celebrities behind each costume, including the true identity of a sentient smile.
Lips is a pouty performer who has fans particularly intrigued—and puzzled.
Need a smile in these strange, strange times? Well, the fourth season of The Masked Singer recently premiered, finally providing us all with “something fun involving masks,” according to host Nick Cannon.
Sixteen masked performers are included in this season of the show, with the costumes—and performances—more extravagant than ever. And that includes a red, sequined and sentient smile called Lips. This pouty performer has viewers puzzled—and for good reason.

What clues do we know about Lips?
In Lips’s intro package on a teaser episode of The Masked Singer, the smiling contestant gives a few helpful hint to their true identity.
“If you want a hint about me, I own who I am,” Lips says in their first official clue. “I know that my voice can go high, but my dishes go deep.”
In the intro package, Lips says that “trying to infiltrate The Masked Singer stage is like trying to break into a Las Vegas money vault.” Some viewers have taken this to mean the celebrity behind the mask has ties to Vegas, big bucks, or both.
Lips also says they want to “‘lip-sync’ their teeth into the competition,” with some viewers taking this to mean the contestant is a drag queen.
Who is Lips on The Masked Singer?
There are an overwhelming amount of guesses when it comes to Lips's true identity—and many are incredibly convincing. Some viewers think the star behind this mask is none other than Oprah due to the word “own” in the first official clue, a supposed reference to her television network OWN. Others are convinced Lips is Lisa Rinna, a star known for her pout. “Own it” also happens to be Rinna’s signature catchphrase on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Wendy Williams is also a popular guess among fans, as the talkshow host is known for “gossiping” on her show—and for owning her point of view. One YouTube commenter also found a particularly compelling tie between Williams and Lips. Williams is known for being unable to wear heels because of her Graves’ disease diagnosis, which impacts her balance. Notably, the Lips costume appears to not include shoes.
To go along with the possible drag connection, some fans have guessed the contestant is RuPaul. Another name to pop up is Boy Meets World actress Danielle Fishel, who is known for her lips. Others believe Food Network stars Martha Stewart or Ree Drummond a.k.a. The Pioneer Woman could be behind the mask, pointing to the word “dishes” in the first official clue as a possible cooking reference.
Oh, and obviously Kylie Jenner’s name came up among all of this. After all, this is a massive lips costume we are talking about. But, let’s be real, that is way too obvious.
