Kevin Sorbo, who starred in the hit show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in the 1990s, believes that he was "blacklisted" in Hollywood for being vocal about his Christian and conservative beliefs.

Speaking with Fox News Digital while promoting a new film, Sorbo recalled his experience being allegedly "canceled" by the entertainment industry, sharing how he felt about being dropped by his agent and manager: “It was sad to me, you know, my manager and agent for so many years said that we can’t get you jobs anymore, work with you because of you being a Christian, being a conservative."

He then claimed that Hollywood was being hypocritical for criticizing him for controversial comments, telling the publication, "And I almost had to laugh at that because it’s an industry that screams for tolerance, and yet it’s a one-way street."

“It screams for freedom of speech. But Hollywood’s a one-way street as well. And that’s just too bad, you know," Sorbo went on.

Sorbo has a history of making controversial comments about divisive topics, often sharing his opinion on X (formally known as Twitter). In particular, he is a big fan of Donald Trump, recently tweeting, "If 2020 was a landslide like people claim it was, why are they so afraid of him running again in 2024?"

He also starred in the 2014 Christian film God's Not Dead, which received a negative critical response yet was very successful at the box office. While he has his supporters, he is often criticized for his very conservative beliefs.

In the actor's new interview, Sorbo called how people react to his beliefs "really weird," before saying, "We have such a huge divide in our country right now, and it’s perpetuated by the mainstream media, perpetuated by movies, TV. I don’t harbor that kind of anger and hatred towards people. I have a different point of view.”

Despite any struggles and differences in beliefs with others, Sorbo clearly loves acting and working in entertainment, proclaiming to the publication, "But I love the industry. I love the movies and TV."

The actor directed, produced, and stars in the new faith-based movie Miracle in East Texas, with his wife, Sam Sorbo, co-starring and co-producing.
