  • The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Disney's Hercules is getting a live-action remake!

  • Twitter has thoughts on who should be cast in the movie.

Need something to boost your mood? Look no further, because you've come to the right place. As of like, today, Disney announced that Herculesaka the gem of a movie that gave us the bops "Zero to Hero" and "I Won't Say I'm in Love"—is getting a live-action remake, meaning you can once again see a fave childhood classic come alive on the big screen. And just when I thought I could give my Disney+ subscription a break!

All we know about the new Hercules so far is that Joe and Anthony Russo, the filmmakers behind the masterpiece that is Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War, are set to produce it. But since the internet is already spiraling over the news, people are letting their opinions be KNOWN for who they want to be on the cast list.

Of course, Ariana Grande is a huuuuuge front runner for playing Meg since she literally just performed "I Won’t Say I’m in Love" during The Disney Family Singalong two weeks ago, but we shall see!

Without further ado, here are Twitter's best (and funniest) predictions for who will be in the Hercules live-action remake. Place! Your! Bets!!

Hercules

From what it looks like, people online can't seem to reach a consensus on who they want as their Hercules yet. Some want KJ Apa, some want Zac Efron, some want a Hemsworth brother, and I just want answers.

Megara

Yeah...people are debating this one HEAVILY. Obviously the stans want Ariana to be Meg for how amazing she did in the singalong, but Liz Gillies (Ari's Victorious costar who played Jade) actually looks a lot like the character. Plus, she can sing!

But also for your consideration:

Phil

Twitter's basically like, "Give me Danny DeVito, or give me death."

Hades

Jeff Goldblum? Willem Dafoe? Tom Hiddleston??? The possibilities are endless, really.

Pain and Panic

(I *personally* would love to see Michael Cera and Jonah Hill play these roles, so I'm throwing that out into the universe, TYVM.)

The Muses

These parts are arguably the soul of the entire movie!!! People have thoughts on this one, but the main one is that these girls need to be able to SING.

Let's see if any of these predictions come true over the next couple of months!
