For Her Smart Works Launch, Meghan Markle Chooses Chic Pieces With a Purpose

This morning, Meghan Markle launched her Smart Works capsule collection in London, a new assortment of clothing whose proceeds go towards helping women find employment by providing them with coaching tips and professional attire for job interviews. It marked her first official outing on royal duty since giving birth to her son, Archie, in May (though she was spotted taking in the the U.S. Open earlier this month). For the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex chose to wear a few streamlined pieces from the line, giving her put-together ensemble a deeper meaning.

The Smart Works line features classic, tailored pieces that could be easily worn to work, including shift dresses from Marks & Spencer and tote bags by John Lewis & Partners, among others. From the assortment today, Markle chose a white button-up shirt from Misha Nonoo that retails for $125, pairing it with tailored black trousers by Jigsaw. The Duchess then finished off the ensemble with matching brown accessories, including a thin belt and pointy suede pumps. The result? She looked good and supported a good cause while doing it — a winning combo.
