Henry Golding Styles His Mom's Hair for Crazy Rich Asians Movie Premiere

A man of many talents.

Crazy Rich Asians is well on its way to become one of the biggest movies of the year — and with it, propel its leading man, actor Henry Golding into bonafide star status. However, we found out what might just be the most endearing thing yet about him: He did his mom's hair for the movie's premiere on August 7.

As reported by The Cut, Henry styled his mom, Margaret Likan Golding's, hair ahead of the big event on Monday night. The sweet moment was first captured on Henry's wife, Liv Lo's Instagram Story, who captioned the snap, "Henry's still got his hairstyling skills."

Later, Henry posted the same image to his own feed, writing, "Had the biggest night of my life coming up for the premier... But first, mum needed a quick blow out for the red carpet 🤓."

A fun fact which many people may not know about Henry is that before he was a movie star portraying one of Singapore's most eligible bachelors on-screen, he actually was a professional hairstylist. "I went into an apprenticeship, starting off as a shampoo boy ― just through the trenches,” he told the Huffington Post of the years he spent working at a UK barber shop. Eventually, he landed himself a station of his own at the prestigious Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa in London, but eventually decided to move back to Malaysia to pursue acting full-time. And while we are so, so glad he did (seriously — August 15 can't come soon enough) it's extra sweet to see him returning to his styling roots to help his mom with her glam.

The Crazy Rich Asians red carpet was packed with gorgeous beauty looks from Constance Wu and the film's other stars (and let's be honest: Henry didn't look so bad himself), but this has definitely got to be our favorite of them all.
