Henry Cavill Wants You to Know He’s Gravely Injured But Also Super Ripped
Henry Cavill has pulled off a rare “double-rip.” In an Instagram post, the ripped Superman actor showed off a rip in his side-a wound created by the makeup artists at the Netflix series Witcher, which(er) is currently in production.
“When you take work home with you,” he commented. (Classic humblebrag, Hank.)

“You look cut, bruh,” said an also-cut Zachary Levi, who currently stars in Shazam!.
“Looking shredded, bro,” remarked shredded bro (and shedded bro) Jason Momoa.
The show is based on the popular Witcher series of monster-hunter books that has been adapted into video games and graphic novels. Cavill plays the protagonist Geralt.
With this Instagram post, Cavill joins an elite club of action stars in the Men’s Health HALL OF MAIM, a pantheon of notable actors who've appeared both shredded (in a muscular way) and shredded (in a painful way). It’s a big place (make sure you hit the gift shop!), so we’ll give you a few highlights:
You’ve got ripped Hugh Jackman as a ripped-up Wolverine in Wolverine.
You’ve got ripped Bruce Willis as a ripped-up John McClane in Die Hard.
And in a hallowed, dramatically lit corner, you’ve got the ultimate double-ripped dude: Patrick Swayze as Dalton (renegades don't need last names) in 1989’s Road House. As Swayze famously said in the film after he refuses anesthesia offered to him by a mildly bemused yet extremely intrigued Kelly Lynch: “Pain don’t hurt.” (Wise words, Dalt. Also, they're accurate words, considering that Road House scar, just like Cavill's, is, uh, not real.)
