"My passion over the last 13 years has allowed me to see so many smiles on faces young and old," this ice cream truck driver says.

Good Humor is calling for the public to vote for the Joy Driver of the Year, who will receive a total of $25,000 in grants to keep on spreading joy through their ice cream business. We'd like to put in our vote for Alice Kimbrough of Jacksonville, Florida, who is passionate about making customers big and small smile with her Honey Dripper House mobile ice cream truck.

"Imagine with me: 50 kids jumping and cheering as I drive my mobile ice cream truck into their school parking lot. I get to experience this on a daily basis," said Kimbrough, one of five finalists and the only one in the South. Each of the finalists has already received $5,000 and is now competing for the winning $20,000 grant.

"They are on the front lines delivering ice cream to their communities and bringing the joy of the ice cream truck to life," Bentley King, the U.S. head of Ice Cream Operations at Unilever, stated in a press release. "It has been a privilege to hear the personal stories, hardships, and successes of our finalists. We are honored to continue our support of American ice cream drivers and vendors."

You can hear all of the five finalists' stories on Good Humor's website before casting your vote, but we think Kimbrough's is pretty compelling.

"My passion over the last 13 years has allowed me to see so many smiles on faces young and old and in turn they get to see the service that we provide to them," Kimbrough said in the video she submitted for the contest. However, "Right now our two biggest challenges is lack of exposure and truck repair."

Kimbrough wants to use the grant to repair door panels, a leak in the roof, and a hole in the floor. She also wants to increase their exposure with social media, radio advertisements, and even billboards.

"We have to think big!" she said, and a $20,000 grant would certainly help.

If you'd like to join us and vote for Alice Kimbrough, you can do so here.

We are rooting for you, Alice!
