The model shared a picturesque, albeit chilly, look at her day in nature.

Danish model and fashion photographer Helena Christensen stepped out for a swim in the river near her home and didn't let the freezing temperatures dissuade her.

The 53-year-old posted a couple of videos of herself in a swimsuit trekking through the freshly fallen snow to take a dip in the river as one does in mid-December. Don't believe us? Just take a look at the photo evidence.

In a second post, she also included a photo of a thermometer showing that the temperature was near or at freezing.

Christensen captioned the update, "Perfect day for a river swim ⛄️👙."

One video also shows a friend joining Christensen in the icy water while it's snowing around them.

Cindy Crawford commented on one of the posts, writing, "Snow Queen ❄️."

Hairstylist Harry Josh wrote, "You are a LEGEND GOALS GOALS GOALS," while fellow model Karen Elson commented, "Brave woman."

Blogger Mimi Thorisson echoed Crawford's thought, saying, "You are the one and only ice queen! 🧊 ❄️! Inspired!"

Diplo simply commented, "Wow," in response, which about sums up the general response!

Fans were also inspired by Christensen's courageous hobby, with one writing, "Jeez these vids impress me, im freezing under my blanket and you are out there doing this… @helenachristensen you are a total badass!"

Christensen is a former Victoria's Secret Angel who still often models while also keeping up her work behind the camera.

On top of that, she was the co-founder and creative director of Nylon magazine and created a fashion line called Christensen & Sigersen in 2006.

The 53-year-old has also been an outspoken activist for many years, focusing on climate change awareness, supporting refugees around the world, and many more prominent issues.

Luckily, she also has a lot of time to travel and explore nature, and Christensen often shares her treks to the river on social media–so be sure to follow her for even more cool snaps.
