'It's out of pocket for me,' reacted Kelly Clarkson.

Helen Mirren and Kelly Clarkson bonded over a shared love for an unexpected store: Walmart.

While dropping by as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Mirren spoke about how she'd pass the time in between filming Yellowstone prequel series 1923 in Butte, Montana.

"I know that there's one store in Butte, and it's like Walmart," said Clarkson, who owns a ranch an hour away from the small town. "There's where I got to get groceries, because where I live, it's like super remote, so that's where I drive to get milk."

Mirren then confirmed she knows that Walmart "very well. I know it like the back of my hand."

"Me too," replied Clarkson. "But I just love that you walked the aisles of that Walmart."

"It's just like…it's out of pocket for me," continued Clarkson, amazed at even imagining Dame Mirren shopping like everyone else at the store.

Mirren also shared that Butte is "beautiful" and "has an amazing history" as an old mining town.

She celebrated the diversity of its culture, which inspired the writers to make her character Cara Dutton Irish.

"When you look at the history of Butte, there were people from Moldavia there, there were Welsh guys, there were Scottish people, there were Irish people, people from the Basque region," explained Mirren.

"That's what the west was like. All these different accents and cultures," she added. "That's very much why I wanted to play [Cara] Irish."

Though Mirren is currently promoting Shazam! Fury of the Gods, it was recently announced that 1923 will get a second season. No details have been shared yet on when it'll arrive to Paramount+.
