Helen Mirren Brings Grandson to Movie Premiere in Adorable Family Snapshot

Helen Mirren easily had the most adorable plus-one on the red carpet at a recent event.
For the premiere of Shazam! Fury of the Gods in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the 77-year-old actress brought her grandson Basil along for the festivities, turning the appearance into a family affair.
At the industry function, Mirren wore a black lace dress with long sleeves and a full skirt as the duo held hands while strutting down the carpet smiling and posing for photos together.
The Red actress wore her white hair down in loose waves, held back by a black headband.
For his part, the young boy kept it casual in a denim button-up shirt and black jeans paired with sneakers as he leaned in close to his famous grandmother.
Though she has no children of her own, Mirren has a close bond with her husband Taylor Hackford's two adult sons—Rio and Alexander Hackford.
Rio—a former working actor and club owner—tragically passed away in April 2022 of uveal melanoma, a very aggressive and rare form of cancer.
The couple's departed son had two children, Waylon and Buck Hackford, so it is safe to assume that Basil belongs to Hackford's youngest son Alexander.
In the upcoming film, Mirren stars as villain Hespera—who is one of the three daughters of Atlas—alongside Lucy Liu and Rachel Ziegler.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters on March 17.
