Heidi Klum's 2023 Halloween Costume Baffles Fans

Heidi Klum, who is always one to watch on Halloween, has officially revealed her 2023 Halloween costume—but people were initially confused.
The model shared a video of herself wearing what seems to be the final product on Instagram earlier on Halloween, with Klum tilting her head to show off special effects makeup designed to give her a bald, scaly and red-tinged head, while she donned a red cape and hood with tulle fabric adding texture and volume.
Captioning the clip, "👻❤️🖤🥳," Klum didn't provide any explanation or backstory for the costume, letting it speak for itself, and fans took to X to debate both what she was dressed as and whether or not they approved.
Many gathered under Pop Base's post about the costume, with the replies filled with quite a few notes like, "What's that," "so what is it," and "Wait who is she."
Another questioned, "She is the queen of Halloween but WTF is this."
No one seemed able to agree on what she was dressed as yet, but there were many fun attempts, with one comparing her to Vecna from Stranger Things as someone else referred to the "Clicker" zombies in The Last of Us, writing, "clickers if they slayed."
Despite the confusion, many were still impressed by Klum's costume. A few compliments included, "She looks scary but creatively done," and, "Heidi Halloween costumes are always on point."
"She always eats 🙅🏽♀️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥," wrote a third.
On the other side of the debate, some either found this year's costume lackluster or simply felt like it didn't top last year's worm, which seems hard to do.
"I'm not GAGGED tbh....," said one disappointed fan, and someone else declared, "Idk what this is nothing topping the worm."
However, later in the evening, Klum proved that the Instagram preview was a fake out, arriving to her epic event as a peacock. Klum wore a velvet blue body suit and transformed her head into the colorful bird, beak and all.
She was joined by several performers, who made up the peacock's impressive plumage.

This was in typical Klum fashion, though. The last few times she dressed up, she also incorporated her husband, Tom Kaulitz, into her costume, revealing the final product at her annual Halloween party.
In fact, this year, Kaulitz dressed as a massive peacock egg to support his spouse's over-the-top look.
