  • Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, former Project Runway costars, have partnered on a new Amazon show called Making the Cut.

  • Making the Cut will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 27.

  • The fashion competition show will feature a panel of five famous judges, including Naomi Campbell and Nicole Richie.

When news broke in September 2018 that longtime host and judge Heidi Klum would be leaving Project Runway along with her co-star, show mentor Tim Gunn, fans were devastated. The dynamic duo was practically synonymous with the show, after all. But there was one silver lining to the the pair's departure: Heidi and Tim were leaving Project Runway to work on their very own fashion competition series for Amazon Prime Video.

Here, we take a look at everything we know about Heidi and Tim's new Amazon show, Making the Cut, so far.

What is the release date for Making the Cut?

It's official: Making the Cut will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 27. The date was announced in the show's first official trailer (which you can watch below):

During a January panel on the winter Television Critics Association press tour, Heidi and Tim announced that their new show will kick off with two episodes that Friday. The 10-episode show will then continue to drop two episodes every week, up until the finale on April 24.

How does Making the Cut work?

Heidi and Tim's latest TV venture really isn't all that different from Project Runway: A fashion competition show, Making the Cut will follow 12 entrepreneurs and designers from all over the world as they battle each other to grow their young fashion brands. The winner will take home $1 million to invest in his or her brand and the opportunity to create an exclusive line for Amazon Fashion.

Perhaps the most unique part of the new Amazon show, however, is the "shoppable experience" that comes with it: According to ET, the winning look from each episode will be directly available for viewers to purchase (for $100 or less!) on Amazon.

"I'm really trying to straddle the artistry of fashion design and the commerce part of it," Heidi told The Hollywood Reporter back in October 2018. "When you're online and you're watching your favorite show, which is hopefully going to be ours, you'll have the commerce aspect for the first time. When you see a design that you actually love, you can buy it. It's not only great for the consumer, but it's also amazing for our designers. We never had that aspect where we could actually help the designers to really branch out into the real world like this on Project Runway."

Who are the judges on Making the Cut?

Unsurprisingly, Heidi and Tim have assembled a group of superstar judges for their new Amazon show: Deadline reports that model Naomi Campbell (who is also a consulting producer for the show), actress and fashion icon Nicole Richie, designer Joseph Altuzarra, influencer Chiara Ferragni, and former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld (who is also the current editor-in-chief of CR Fashion Book, a Hearst-owned property) will all hold a spot on the judges' panel in Making the Cut's first season.

This star-studded cast will be worth keeping an eye on for the banter alone.

Are there any other Making the Cut spoilers?

Information about Heidi and Tim's new Amazon show is still limited. What we do know: The Making the Cut crew traveled to Tokyo, Paris, and New York while filming the show, and the contestants range from more established designers to younger up-and-comers.

"To be perfectly honest about it, perfectly blunt, Making the Cut wouldn't have happened without Project Runway," Tim said during the January TCA panel. "In Project Runway, we talk about how a sleeve is put into a bodice. You don't hear a conversation like that on Making the Cut ... it really is about finding the next global brand. And we do."

As far as any other spoilers go, however ... we'll just have to wait and see!
