Heidi Klum Pens Heartfelt Message After Sending Her Daughter Off to College

She also shared a throwback photo from the runway when she was four months pregnant with Leni.

America's Got Talent host Heidi Klum just sent her eldest daughter, Leni, off to college for the first time, and she's holding up about just as well as you'd expect from an adoring mom.

Klum shared the bittersweet news on Instagram and wished the 18-year-old the best of luck in her new adventure (and big move to New York City) on Aug. 23.

On Monday, the mother-of-four posted the widely-recognized throwback photo of herself walking the runway of 2003's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in an all-white lingerie set bedazzled with glitzy rhinestones, complimented by an oversized set of angel wings.

"Today is your big move to head off to college… 🥹😿Seems like only yesterday that this photo was taken when I was four months pregnant with you safe and sound in my belly," the 49-year-old reflected.

Klum continued: "Sometimes I wish I could always have you that close but I know it’s now time for you to go spread your wings and fly. 🦋Take flight, be safe and shine bright my @leniklum 💖."

Klum has three other children: a daughter named Lou (12), and two sons, Henry (16) and Johan (15), with British singer/songwriter and ex-husband Seal.

She started dating seal while she was pregnant with Leni (who's biological father is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore), however, both Seal and current husband Tom Kaulitz consider themselves to be father figures to all of the kids.
