Heidi Klum Grows Family by 2 for Husband’s Birthday

Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz's family just got a little bit bigger.

The America's Got Talent judge recently proved that she is the ultimate gift-giver by surprising her husband with—not just one—but two new furry friends on his birthday.

Kaulitz, who rang in his 34th birthday on Sept. 1, was all smiles in Klum's latest Instagram post, which showed the musician cozying up to his b-day presents in the form of two adorable new puppies.

"When he tells you he is not ready for a new puppy and you surprise him with two on his birthday," the 50-year-old model captioned her Instagram post on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The new additions to the family come less than a year after the couple had to say goodbye to two of their beloved pets.

In February, Klum and Kaulitz lost their German shorthaired pointer named Capper at the age of 15, with their 4-year-old Irish wolfhound named Anton mysteriously dying just weeks later.

The former Victoria's Secret Angel shared an Instagram post in honor of Capper at the time, uploading a video of the pup cuddling with her and her hubby in bed.

"Forever Loved Forever in our hearts ❤️," she wrote in the February 7 post.

Less than two weeks later, she shared another Instagram tribute, this time for Anton, alongside a series of photos from his last day of life.

"Such a beautiful Day Today ❤️ We did not know it would be our last 💔" she wrote in her caption at the time, concluding, "We love you Anton."

In addition to Capper and Anton, Kaulitz's brother Bill also lost his bulldog Stitch around the same time, making the family wonder if their deaths were somehow related.

Wondering if their pets could've been poisoned, the two brothers talked about the devastating situation on their podcast, Kaulitz Hills - Senf aus Hollywood

"Sadly, we also had to think about whether it might be the case that everything is connected," Bill stated during a February episode of their podcast.

"It's so sad that you have to think that there is someone who wants to harm you so much that he kills your animals," Klum's husband stated while questioning, "Is there a lunatic out there?"
